line conditioner...does it work?

I guess the question is what does it do to your line to make it more managable? Does it affect the properties of the line and make it less abrasion resistant or weaker? I don't know what it does but if it makes the line manage better it has to be doing something to the line.
I just bought some KVD line conditioner from Tackle Warehouse based on all the good reviews I read.I got to try it out yesterday made about 20 cast without it then applied it.I found it made my cast longer smoother less line noise i'll have to see how long it last under heavy use though.it is a little pricey $7 for a small bottle
yes, it works well. I fish primarily fluoro and use it every time I spool up. I actully spool up by spraying a soft cloth with the stuff and running the line through as I hold it, maintaining the proper tension. It cleans and lubes the line and has a great effect on handling in my opinion.
