I am planning to head out to Wind Lake next week in western Racine County. There weren't many recent reviews, does anyone know any tips or hot spots. I'm hoping to hook into some smallies and do some pan fishing.

There is no fish able population for smallies on wind, some nice largies though!

Hey guys im new to area and i might have a stupid question. Have any of you 2 seen any jet skiers out on wind lake? Or is the lake too shallow? I been to tichigan several times. Another question is can a jet ski travel up fox river into big bend or is that waterway too shallow?

Tim, there is plenty of info about the lake in the Fish Reports section, although I'm not sure if its been fixed to where you can look past the first page or not.

The gills have been on beds and in shallows, most are moving into post spawn patterns. A few weekends ago I was getting perch in the shallows, but haven't been trying for them lately. I'm not sure about the crappie. Last week when I was out there, I was seeing largemouth bass in the shallows protecting beds, but wasn't fishing for them so I don't know where they are in spawn.

If you plan on lure fishing for bass, be prepared to catch pike. They have been hungry and very active. They have been hitting spinners, rapalas, inline spinners, and I even heard of a few hitting senkos.
