This is the umbrella holder I made out of pvc pipe. I had the 1 1/2 inch pvc pipe at home, so it cost me a total of $25.00. $14.00 for the umbrella at Fleet Farm and another $10.00 for the PVC tee joints. It pivots around the pedestal to block the sun. Works pretty good
I made an umbrella base like the one in the web site attached. The pvc pipe was about 5 bucks. Now I have to find an umbrella. I'll post a picture when I get everything together.

Check out this set up. The ropes will either keep the canopy in place in a wind or if it can't be cranked down fast enough, cause the boat to capsize. Because reflected glare burns too it's probably best to keep using sunblock anyway.
I went to menards bought the biggest patio unbrella they had and put it in the rod holdr infront of the console. It ccover's about 80% of the boat for lss than $60.
