looking for a proper landing net

Over the years my wife and I have dumped some nice perch trying to lift them into the boat while fishing Winnebago. I'm looking for a landing net, with small mesh netting, that my wife can handle by herself while she is sitting on her throne, in the front of the boat. I wouldn't mind it if it had a smaller hoop. Right now I'm looking at a Frabill net but I wish the hoop would be smaller, but I suppose I could live with it.

We just make the mesh tight by using a zip tie. Essentially make a pony tail out of it so the fish can't fall into it.

If it's just for perch, how about a butterfly net? Small hoop, long handle and tight mesh.
