anyone do any fly fishing from the piers or surf? i was thinking of a new challenge what would be a good line to use? i was thinking rios outbound or possibly airflows 40+ along with a stripping basket and a lot of backing on a 9.5" 8 wt. any thoughts suggestions?

I've fished the piers in Port Wasington and Sheboygan with my fly rod. Still waiting to actually catch a fish, but hae had strikes and follows. I use an 8 wt with sinking line. Sheboygan's pier is nice and also easy to fish from. Just have to be cognizant of the foot traffic - and bring a long telescoping net.

I've seen guys stalk the break walls. I had other things on my mind at the time so I didn't axe em' too many questions....they had indicators on their rig.
