Canadian Walleye Opener

Talk about LUCKY arrived at 11:00 PM at the Government dock in Morson, got to the cabin, unloaded the boat. just sat down on the deck to watch the lighnting off in the distance and wham here comes the wind 30-40 sustained gusts lightning and rain. wonder what this will do to the fishing. Was pretty slow on Saturday. still raining but we did manage to have a fish fry. we really didn't find any schools. Sunday was much better found some hungry fish. and at least a piece of structure that would be holding fish. we found fish in 5 fow out to 26, I believe the fish are in there transition mode thus the schools were just not there. I will be back up in a week for a few more days. water temps were 60-63

Any reports on how the fish were acting opening weekend, sounds like everything is spawned out by a couple of weeks.

Leaving superior around 4 am for kapkichi near pickle lake can't wait to get up there !

I will soon be off to the sunset country, Can't wait,,,,, Anyone else going up and where are you staying?
