It's interesting to see how the cast has changed over the seasons. Willie got a new front tooth last year and Troy's belly gets a bit rounder every year. The fruits of prosperity.

I chalk it up to editing... either way...still a fave show...better than most anything the regular networks put out like glee, and junk like that

So I DVR'd the episode of Swamp People where Troy's boys jumped land, then dragged their boat to a land locked pond and put a thumping on the gators. I noticed something interesting, they went in with their 90 HP Merc, and came out with a mud motor... Hmmmm, more scripted than I thought...

was thinking same thing when they showed the storm over the areas of the Swamp People... not the first time these self-sufficient folks have had to deal with this... wonder if they are filming another season...

Last night it was "The king of the swamp" I have to give it to Troy. He went out of his way to help a friend fill his tags, risking not filling his! Wish every nieghbor was that helping...

you have to go into every 'reality' based show these days knowing that portions of it are setup. real life is boring people, admit it. just take it for what it is, pure entertainment. if you don't enjoy it, change the channel or take your fat arse outside!! Cool

just a thought.... these shows are for entertainment, so I would guess that the producers and directors are telling these folks what to do/say in some cases pretty sure these hollywood types don't know squat about what they're filming either, so when they are editing film, I doubt they care about any inconsistencies never got into deadly catch after 2nd time watching it seemed way too overdone...so I guess I missed out

I agree ere, the Cherokee tracking method cracked me up too. I also got a chuckle on Mountain Men when he changed the track on his sled. Agree with other posts, some of the things crack me up but I still enjoy Pickers, Pawn Stars, American Restoration, Swamp People, Mountain Men, and of course the soap opera for men - Deadliest Catch.
