2012 Bear tag Drawing

Got one in zone B with 10 points, I group applied with my dad who had 9 and we both got tags. Should be memorable.

Drew my first Wisconsin bear tag for Zone B with 11 points!!

Surprise, surprise, surprise, I drew A zone with 6 points. I have a big bruiser on the wall now. Hopefully I can bag a bear on my own property this time.

I drew one in zone A, with 7 going in. I just chose a preference point last year. Good to go for my first bear hunt!

I scored a Zone A with 5 points going in. Last bear hunt was in 2006, same zone. Somewhat shocked I was awarded with just 5.

Zone D here I come. Got the guide booked now it's just a waiting game. Can't Wait!!!!

Checked last night...Got my first tag ever!!! Zone C here I come. My wife is worried already.

I drew a tag in Zone D with 9 preference points! Yes!!

Good luck to all- looks like it was a solid 8 points for D and 7 for A from what I heard of the hunters calling me today.- some drew some will have to wait another year.

"I checked the DNR website and see I have another point, but no kill-tag. Will they publish how many tags were issued and in what zones???" From the DNR web site. The permit breakdown by zone for 2012 is as follows: Zone A – 3,425 permits; Zone B – 1,335 permits: Zone C – 2,970 permits; and Zone D – 1,285 permits. The 2012 bear hunting season runs Sept. 5 through Oct. 9.
