This might not be what you are looking for, but I figured I would at least tell you about it. Check out my place, this coming seasons is going to be the first time that I have opened it up to hunters to hunt. I admit it costs some, but it is nice property, safe and a good number of deer along with some really nice bucks. It's not a high fence thing, I simply see a demand for access to private property and so I thought I would open up my property. I created a web site that explains everything, check it out if you want, it's www.bigrackshuntclub.com

.Yeah it wont be easy, but there are places. like said, get a plat book and knock on doors . There are guys who lease out for bow or gun sometimes both around me. Some at very reasonable price. They arent all grade A deer hunting spots, but it beats hunting with the masses.

goog luck!

I imagine but how many ac. for 15k and how many people? I still think a deer is not worth that much cause a caribou is cheaper. Not ripping on anyone, just an observation. A whitetail, or caribou in Nufoundland? Waht would you do?

They may be asking 5,500 bucks a 40 lease but I can't imagine them getting it. Anyone with a brain will stop and say, I can go on a Caribou hunt in Manitoba for that price. Ya can go to Canada, Montana, or anywhere for half that.

Unfortunately leases are tough everywhere as deer hunting becomes more and more privatized. Wisconsin is probably the worse state with a strong family tradition of deer hunting there is not much out there and nothing is on the web or advertised. We have non-stop weekly ads in our local newspaper with no responses. After two years of searching I got a lease in SE MN. My suggestion buy a plat book - pick you target areas and go knocking on doors. BTW I can take a semi guided trip to Nebraska for what my share of the lease costs.
