So many things can cause erratic arrow flight some being, the arrows themselves (wrong spine, bad fletchings, unsquare cuts), fletching contact could of been possible depending on your rest you had on the old bow, string tourque if you dont shoot a string loop, Cam orientation, from stretched out old string possibly? and quite possibly how you grip the bow can affect arrow flight also. Like i said many things can cause it. all that matters is the new bow is good to go! Big Smile

Meatpole, I was wondering why my old bow shot so irratically. The arrows would shoot straight half the time. Other times they would go into the target on an angle. Also, I shot a 2" 5 shot group last night. I never shot a bow nearly this consistent.

I got my Mission Endeavor. New sights and am using my old arrows too. It is a world of difference from my 13 yr old Mathews Featherlight. I shot in my basement @ 20 yds. and shot a 5 shot 4" group. Next a 3" 5 shot group @ 20 yds. I know this is nothing for you all but most likely was my best 2 cosecutive 5 shot groups I ever had. Very quiet and easy to shoot. The bow shoots very consistent it seems, in other words no fliers at all. I notice the arrows shoot perfectly straight. The other bow would fish tale the arrow and stick in the target on a 10-20 degree angle instead of straight. Shooting my bow is fun again! I will try tonight and see if I can get it to 2" or so @ 20 yds.

Come to think of it there was a stablizer on a used Drenelin I considered buying for 425 there. Shot quiet and now vibes. I thought it was the harmonic damper but also had a stabalizer that was half rubber or something. Smooth bow.

I believe the only one using harmonic dampners in Stabs are K-tech? personally there so ugly I wouldnt use one, The Doinker line had alot of different Hunting Stabs that will quiet the bow down and make you hold on the target better. BTW Congrats on the new Bow, just because it doesnt say Mathews on it. it is a Mathews. my buddy got a Endeavor and oves it.

I decided to go with a Mission Endeavor for 352 dollars instead of the Z7 Extreme for 785. I am putting on the extra string stop for 50 bucks and might buy the stabalilizer with the harmonic dampeners in them. It is still not a Mathews but should be very smooth and quiet. for 350 dollars less. Just one more question. Has anyone ever tried the harmonic dampeners in the stabalizers? Did you notice if it was as effective as the dampeners in the bow?

I bought my regular old SB (70#, 30")the first year it came out. Thousands of shots (10's) and a decent number of deer later, I've invested a grand total of 3 new strings into it. Nothing else. It still shoots quiet and fast. I have not one single complaint in 10+ years. This is the first post I've ever made on a website pertaining to what bow I shoot.....I usually like to stay out of those!!

In regards to the Z7 Xtreme, I bought one a year ago. Wasn't even going to try it due to the short ATA. Very glad I did since it shot and felt better than the other Z7 models. Shot alot of bows and nothing felt as good as the Xtreme. Mind you I'm not brand loyal in any way. Of 8 new bows I've bought, never had the same brand twice. Shoot what you like, if they feel the same I'd save the $ for accessories and buy the less costly model.

I wouldnt say there the same, yeah i would probably buy a SBXT over a Endeavor and as far as the SB being the best bow ever..ehh, the guy shooting it can decide that, with that said they are good reliable bows.

I hear the Mission Endeavor is almost exactly the same the Mathews Switchback. Is this true? The reason I ask is cause when reading about the Z7 Extreme many say just go buy a Mathews Switchback! " best fricken bow ever made" I hear things like this. What is your opinion?
