I just got a new bone collector extreme sight and I was just wondering what other people shoot. I was going to buy a spot hawg but I didn't want a 6 pin and didn't want to spend the money. Sorry if a topic like this has already been started but I was just wondering what everyones's favorite sight is.

Yeah it can help for sure, but you might need a clafier lens/peep also to make it right, you will see more pin movement with a lens also, I tried a 4X lens in my target scope and didnt care for it. not sure i would like a lens for hunting, 4X and the deer was real close..??

has anybody put a lens kit on their HHA sight? Does it really make a difference?

Try sighting in with your second pin at 35 yards and see where you pin ends up. best i can tell you without seeing you shoot is you might be changing your anchor a tiny bit not that your intending too but it could be caused by a peep that isnt in the exact right spot, not sure how fast your bow is, but i had to stop shooting pins because my pins were to close, if I had a 1/8 gap between my pins 20 to 40 that was about it. had to change to a HHA 1 pin slider

Predator, make sure you anchor the same way at 30 as you do at 20, your big knuckle behind your jaw bone and get your nose to touch the string...sounds like bow might not be setup correctly for you or you are changing something, do you have a kisser button on the bow? you should have around a 1/8 to 1/4" gap between pins depending on how fast the bow is shooting..pm me with who set you up if your in SE Wi. heres a pic of how your anchor should look. Everyone will have a little different anchor but the pic is about as good as you can get, notice the string to the nose, heads straight...get like that you should be fine, and if your new to shooting i will recommend a good kisser button.

To make sure not to look over the obvious details you know that the top pin is your 20 and the next pin down is 30 and so on. The pin in no way over should over lap. Are you changing your sight picture when you move back or moving you anchor point? I would make sure your form is good.

Im new to archery I bought a mthews mission craze bow and it came with a 3 pin sight i got the top pin zeroed at 20 yards but when i move back to sight the 30 yard pin in it seems that it is going to over lap my 20 yard pin. Am i doing something wrong?? Is it the cheap sight that came with the kit? I was told if i switched to a single pin sight id be better off. Any advice

The XR2 is a very nice sight, but with a $200 pricetag its not an option for most hunters. This sight will be around half the price.

MP, Thats what caught my eye about this two pin sight. The only bummer is I forgot what model it is! Guess I'll remember when it shows up! LOL!

I shot 3 and 5 pins for year but now use a HHA for hunting, darn bows got to fast and the pin gaps are to tight for me, Target Copper Jonh A.N.T.s sight tape good to 100 yards. A past member here (long barrels) has a sweet sight, think it was made by black gold. alot of good sights out there to choose from....someday would like to upgrade to a CBE on my 3d bow.

Just ordered myself a new 2012 Vital Bow Gear sight through Steve's Archery. Saw it at the ATA and had to get myself one! Its a two pin sight, the top pin is locked into position so that I will set for 20 yds and the 2nd pin is moveable. Perfect for hunting and 3D! It also has the capability to have a 2nd or 3rd fixed pin added if necessary. I'm going to try it with just the two pins to start with. I'm pretty sure that is all I will need. Heck of sight!

I use a HHA single pin slider. For me, its hard to focus on the target with 5 pins 1 whereas I can find the vitals easier with the single pin. Only issue I have is I once forgot to adjust the sight when I was presented with a 40 yard shot at a real nice buck, missed way below due to having the sight set at 20 yards. Luckily I got another opportunity with that same buck and got the job done.
