ATVs/Sleds all over the lake today, ice 6-7"

TMFishing08, I talked with someone who ventured way out on the west side on Monday, they had 7 inches farther out than I went. So the ice got better farther out. We've had 3 straight days now of temps to make ice. After today, it looks like our high temps go above freezing ​for the extended forecast. I would hope that any damage done during the day would be resolved by the overnight low temps.

TMFishing08, the west side boat landing has approximately 4 inches of ice as you work your way out. Yesterday ​(12/10) there was someone 400-500 yards out from the landing. On the ​east side boat landing there is about 6 inches of ice in the bay, that side had a thin layer of not quite hard slush on top of the ice.

Hows the ice after this warmer weather? Anyone able to catch anything today? TIA and tight lines.

Used to get cottage up here for a week. Caskeys resort great people. Great lake. Good walleyes big perch/crappies.

TMFishing08, it hopefully will not hurt it too much. Most of the lake has 4-6 inches of ice thickness. ​We've gotten just a little bit ​of snow up here. As of last night there ​are some areas on the lake with 1-2 inches of snow, some areas ​have no snow cover, those will likely be the areas that lose a little ice. While we've had temps around freezing all week, we haven't had really any sunshine, which has helped things.

Hello, I saw the weather is gonna be in the low 40s the next couple days, Me and my dad are going up there for an ice fishing trip on the 20th, will this warmer weather melt or damage any of the ice? TIA!

Measured 6” of ice on the north shore.

West side boat landing has a small pressure crack to cross over, but there is a 1-2 inches of ice on that side as of Wednesday, maybe more now with the cold temps last night. The East side boat launch has 3-4 inches of solid ice in the bay.

Most of the lake froze up yesterday and this morning from what I can see looks to be completely iced up

Normally around that time the lake should be solid enough for walking or atv/snowmobile travel.  I've fished it around the Christmas timeframe the past 4 years without issue.  However, it all depends on if mother nature cooperates.  I was out in the boat on 11/4 and water temp was 38.
