Mirrorman the majority voted for 3 fish. The whiners got their way. Now you're the whiner. See if you can change it back.

I agree Tuffy.  I used grade landing Monday.   The one on the left again.  Once again my boat trailer came to a stop , like I ran into something.   I dug around in the water and it was all silted in with sand.  I usually unplug my trailer lights when I back into the water.  When I unplug the lights it disconnects the automatic reverse disconnect.   This would not normally be a problem but the extra sand made resistant to my tires and the trailer brakes would come on.  This would bring my trailer to a stop.  I just plugged my lights back on.  (I don't like to have lights on in the water)  and I was able to b ack in.  I didn't know someone was pumping sand from one spot to another.  I figured it out, but I still like to unplug when backing trailer into water.

Awhile back some one complained about the whalen grade landing.  What has happened, last spring the guy that was running a pump where all the boats and pontoons rent a space on the pier next door to public landing. He was trying to move all that sand by his pier to make 2 more stalls for boat spaces to make more money. One day last year the dnr was on the public pier with the guy and made him take the pump out. What he was doing was pushing all the sand over to public launch.  All the cement is covered up with about a foot of sand or more. If anyone knows who to contact in the township or else where to have the guy fix it.call them

Never seen a walleye so full of shad, they were popping out its mouth before getting it in the net.  Got it on  a crawler .

Fished the Sauger hole (deep hole at top of lake) today. Worms and minnows jigging.  No bites midday. One other boat caught "a couple little ones and a nice one". Saw him net it . Maybe 24 inches or so.

From what I’ve seen with much better management, the  Lake WI fish are the residents that make up the bulk of the strong spawn run that goes up to the Dells these days.

You just can’t pull and eat 5 pre-spawn girls, 5-or-so-days in a row and expect year-after-year multitudes.

I remember the very dismal years. Used to fish the upstream. Left it because it was dead.
Nasty pollution foam on the banks.
Fish tasted like paper mill effluent, when you could hopefully get one. Ugh.

Please learn your regs and understand that it’s working quite well👌🏻👍👌🏻

Good Fishing to You!!

Actually, they should have ignored all the whiners and left the bag limit at 5 fish. If certain lakes needed to be adjusted, so be it. There was absolutely no need for the entire state to go to a 3 fish bag.limit.

Gofishingtoo. The daily bag limit is 5 walleye/sauger. Only 3 walleye and or sauger from one body of water per trip. Being this is a flowage it is from dam to dam. The only time you can have 5 in the live well if you can physically prove you caught 3 or 2 fish from a different body of water. Going to be hard explaining that unless you have proved how you got those fish.

They should just make it 3 per day period and take out the 5 fish possession would be easier to enforce.

It says it right on the back cover of the regulation book " The new rule does not affect the total daily bag limit for walleye and sauger (five in total per day from all waters fished that day),nor the possession limit (10 in total)."

Flatheadmonster. I cant find in regulations where it says you can keep 5 daily but only 3 from 1 body of water.  All i can find is 3 per day unless your on the mississippi
