https://maps.app.goo.gl/brojSxumXLudh8y78  Link should be for Sandy Landing.  I wouldn't haul anything permanent and heavy beyond the first couple hundred yards.  At some point to fish most places you have to travel over the river channel which has fluctuating ice thickness.  I almost never take a car / truck out here.  I take atv. I fish many other local lakes and don't mind auto travel, but out here is a lot riskier.  Do people do it?  Yes.  Does someone drop a vehicle through the ice every year?  Also yes...

New to the area, but wondering how difficult it is to get on and off the lake here with a small ice castle? Wasn’t sure about what the ice is like here and steepness of ramps. Any info is appreciated!

Thank You

Wednesday, Mark came out fishing. Talk about a cold day. We had to really work hard. We used small jigs and plastics in 14' water. Mark caught 2 nice walleye and some good-sized crappies.
It was a good way to end the fishing season. Now, just to wait for the water to freeze to start ice fishing.

This is a follow up post on my recent trip this past Sunday on willow flowage. My dad and I had a unforgettable day on the water from start to finish with Dave Joswiak guide services. I knew it was bound to be a great experience when we were walking to the ramp and Dave already had the boat launched and ready to fish earlier than our start time.  We were thrilled to boat 100+quality fish, but what stood out to me and I value  most was the education  we received on locating fish and interpreting livescope. " Crappie hunting" truly is an art that Dave has mastered. It was a pleasure to receive this knowledge and experience firsthand from such a down to earth good- hearted man. I look forward to future outings/recommend Dave as a fishing guide, but more importantly as a teacher, and a friend.

No better way for a father and son to bond than spending a fall Sunday chaseing slabbers!!  We hit the water and in no time were on the fish.water finally  coming  up ,  still simple  threwing plastics  crappies  running  tight  to the bottom,  These 2 knew the ropes and soon were throwing as many back as they were keeping. Thanks Scoot and Matt for an enjoyable day!!

Fished with Eric Sunday morning for a few walleyes and crappies. First couple hours we caught a few short walleye’s 2 keepers and about 7 bass. Moved on to crappies and we caught around 35 and kept 22 nice ones with a few over 13” thanks Eric it was fun. This week temperatures in the 50 to 65 degree I’ll take a few more days if anyone wants to catch some fish.

Today was a family fishing day for Tim, Jean, and Walker.
The wind tried to blow us off the water.  Be careful  water going  up stumps r waiting  for boat motor s , sample  jigging  a minnow , chasing  schools ,But it didn't stop these 3. Tim caught a monster crappie  just shy of 16". The largest one this year I've seen. They were able to take home enough fish for a few fish fries and were able to throw a bunch back
Thank you all for choosing Dave Joswiak's Guide Service.

Doug and I went out and rocked the lake today. It started out so foggie to the point we couldn't see the shore.casting into schools  pick a few out than move on , still in that 10 to 12' of water ,But we were still able to find the fish quick. It was a great day of fishing. Thanks Doug! Great weather  coming  up call for openings
