Fishing continues to be great out of Port Washington for Coho Salmon!

I have the following days available in May:
AM Trips: 4,7,9,10,16, 20, 21, 22, 23, 29, 30th
PM Trips: 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 16, 17, 18, 20, 21, 22, 23, 28, 29, 30th.

29 coho in less then an hr this afternoon on the first trip of the year.  Set up at the gap trolled to 50ft and back.  Never was able to get all the rods in the water.  It was some of the fastest coho fishing I have ever seen.

A four man limit today in an hour and a half!  Fishing is on fire right now.  Give me a call to get in on the action.  I have Saturday and Sunday open this weekend if you want to get out.

Sad to hear Ewigs closing.

It was a quick 2 man limit this morning!  Working 20-40ft standard Coho rigs.  I have openings this weekend if you want to get in on the action, give me a call.

Ewigs Bros is closing shop as of May 1st.

It comes with great pride, joy, and even some sadness to share that the time has come for our family to close our doors.

Six generations and at least 20 different Ewigs have manned our smokehouses, helmed our boats and shared stories with our customers these past 130 years. What an incredible ride!

On May 1, we will close our doors for the final time. Jeffrey and Matthew are eager to enjoy more time with their families after a combined 50+ years stoking the wood fires.

Our building will remain along Sauk Creek for the time being and is not available for sale. However, if you are an entrepreneur eager for a chance to build your own fishing legacy in downtown Port, we'd love to talk to you about carrying on the torch.

You will hear more from us during the coming days/weeks, but please take a moment to stop in and get your last taste of our family recipes before May 1.

Thank you, Port Washington. You've given our family a century's worth of memories for which we are forever grateful!

Troller guy: Agree with previous posts. I fish Algoma in a 16’ er. Usually solo. Once or twice a year I turn around and go back in, just too rough. Have been 7 miles out. Trust your gut. Some leadcore, couple dipseys, maybe used rigger will keep the cost manageable.

Troller guy, i fished out of port all winter from a 16 foot jon, out to 45 fow. you will be just fine.
