Hey alan, I would definetely fish in jefferson if i was looking to catch good numbers of whites. The most i've caught in one day is only 10 although they were good sized (10-14), that was also like two weeks ago. I dont know about what other people would say, but personaly the watertown stretch isn't really the best place to fill a cooler with anything except carp, or maybe channel cats if you find a good spot. I live in watertown during the summer and would not go out of my way to fish here otherwise.

Hey jimb93, sounds like you've been having some pretty good action lately. I'm thinking of driving out this weekend from Menomonee Falls but my license is suspended. I'd like to fill a cooler with some whites but don't want to risk driving out if I can't get on em. Are they still out there or are you mainly getting buffaloes now?

Conditions: Sunny
Fished the dam, treatment plant, and a spot inbetween today. All spots produced fairly steady action about 30 carp/buffalos, 8 whitebass 10-14 inches, and a surprise 5-7lb channel cat. All fish caught on various twister tails, gulp, and half crawlers on jigs.

Went out today in the area tried a few spots took my neighbors son out for a bit he's diabled and wanted him catch something, start of the day wasnt to productive, started at the treatment plant but current was really strong.. headed up river more in town the bite was better a few carp alot of nice sized bullheads and few smallies in the 10" range, though they were fun to catch. But the highlite of the day was watching this little 7 or 8yr old girl reeling in a carp about 14" long when all of a sudden this huge Northern of possibly Musky (I know they are in there) decided to just inhale the carp as she reeled next to shore she had it on for a minute or so her dad tried to help her but it broke the line. thng had to be close to 40" or bigger it was thrashing all over gotta be the biggest Ive seen on the river in a long long time. rally wouldve like to of seen her catch it..

Have been hitting a lot of Sauger's at about 6:30 each night on the river in my back yard. I think I found a hole, getting 2-4 a night, 16-17". Once I clean the hole out, back the next day. I have been wondering where the Walleye are??? I haven't landed one yet. I also ran across a 12" white bass to my surprise, so they are here now.

NOT A REPORT! Just wondering if any was behind the sewage plant late Thursday night or early Friday and found a Berkley Ripple shad bag by the water marker full of jigheads about $30 worth. All my jigheads were in the bag. Would love to have them back if anyone found them and reads this. PM if found them or saw them. Thanks, Schrammbo

Would any one be willing to tell me where you can fish at in watertown. I have never been here and I am very interested in the catfishing. It is about a 30 min drive so any info on cats would be much appreciated. Thank you

Conditions: Partly Sunny Air Temp: 51° - 55° F
Fished most of the day today and all day yesterday for about 17 hours combined without a walleye to show for my efforts. Saw 4 legals all weekend. Friend had 1 17in. Heard it was SLOW SLOW from everyone. More fisherman than fish around. All I did manage was carp and most being buffalos. Better fishing to come. Water should come up with this rain all week which could be a good thing.

FISHING REPORT

Conditions: Sunny
Wasn't me. I'm farther north then most people and I'll leave it at that. Did okay today. Tried in Watertown for a little bit before moving. Managed a nice 7lb channel on a twister tail and a huge buffalo. Also watched 6 guys catch a few buffalo and chop them into pieces and leave it in the road and laughed. Buffalo are Not carp and are native to WI. They are an asset to rivers such as the rock and don't cause harm to the fishery in anyway. Just annoying and stupid. I explained this to them but they didn't care.
As for the eyes they weren't as hot today with the cold and sun. Caught one 17"(released) and one short, buddy caught two shorts. It seems to be hot right at dark and for about an hour after.
