Fished here last in 2001, Northern action is quite good on cranks. Any kind/brand produced as long as it had gold or orange with black accents for colors. Twitched along the surface or moderately cranked 2-3 feet below the surface will fire them up. An occasional bass will surprise you!

If you're looking for near non-stop action fishing for Largemouth Bass and Northern Pike, this may be the lake for you. Several weedy areas on this pothole lake are home to many bass and northern. Using various spinner baits (caught fish on every spinner used) two others and I caught several dozen pike ranging from 15-30" in length (I missed one 40"+) and, largemouths in the 14-20" range. While the length of the bass caught was not spectacular, what surprised me was the girth of these fish. Anything over 15" in length looks as if it had swallowed a football. Overall, my experience on the lake was very enjoyable. This is a very secluded, quiet lake with a nice swimming area to boot.
