Fished this lake years ago and there were alot of nice bass in it back then, But i guess in the last 5 years since i fished it, it froze out and the northerns have taken over. Just returned from 6 days at the campgroung located on this lake. As far as a Bass lake goes, this lake is top notch.
I had great succes each day and found most of the fish embedded in the shoreline grass and pads because of the high skys. I caught over 125 bass, with the largest being 23", and 4 that were in the 19-20" range. The average bass was16" inches or so. Caught a few pike and one huge cpappie accidentally also. All fish were released and I think that is probably important because this lake is a natural reproduction lake. I saw 3 monsters that would be trophies also. Nice lake, no skiers and big bass.

I have fished this lake for years and have found a good self maintaining stock of LMB and Northerns both were found in good numbers and size ranges. Spinners and crank baits work best along the shorelines. Lots of fallen trees along the shoreline providing good habitat for the LargeMouth Bass. I don't know of a public launch site on this lake, however you can launch from the campground on the northeast side of the lake. Entire lake is slow no wake. Evening fishing by far the best for LMB.
