Lake Redstone

Fox Court at 2:15.

Fox Court at 3:15 today.

I fished Redstone this past weekend and the ice consisted of 3" of slushy 'honeycomb' ice on top of 6-7" of decent ice. I have a 400cc ATV that I took out that after the warm weather and possible rain this week, I would not feel safe taking out this coming weekend. The warm weather and sun will take a toll on the ice this week, especially the wind on Thursday when it is forecasted to be 55 degrees with 15-20 mph winds and rain at times. That will pretty much take care of the ice, or at least the shorelines. I am calling it an ice season. It sucked this winter, but the way the ice was last weekend and the weather this week, I would not feel safe or confident going back out. Instead I will get my boat ready and start preparing for spring walleye fishing. Tight lines!

Can someone please give me and update on ice conditions of Lake Redstone. Will be in the area later in the week and would like to ice fish it.

Any new updates on ice thickness? ATV's out yet?

Most of the lake is wide open yet. Went for a drive today to check it out. Some ice on the 2 northern fingers.

Any ice forming on Redstone?  Is it skim ice or measurable? 

Very much open water.

Is the lake even froze over yet?
