Fished two of these lake with two of my buddies from a canoe and a kayak for 8 hours straight from mid day to dark. We threw just about every lure under the sun that a bass or a pike might strike and had very little success. We had some panfish action fishing with suspended jigs around structure with night crawlers, so I wouldn't be surprised if the lake is decent for those species if you hit it at the right time with the right techniques. We were lured in by how picturesque the lakes were from the water, but were disappointed with the fishing. Beautiful place for a paddle, but if you're looking for bass or pike action, go elsewhere.

You will need to portage from the lower into this lake. I thought the extra work was worth the effort. I caught numerous legal size bass and a few over 5#.
