Beaver Dam Lake

Lots of 15 to 20 inch cats. Edgewater Park is a good spot to fish for them .

I never fished this lake. Is there a spot that I can park and shore fish for some catfish? If anyone don't mind me asking.

What kinda size are the cats in this lake? Never been but this is like the 5th time in a couple days I keep hearing about channels in beaver dam lake 

Fish, I caught a pile of them here on a bobber and night crawler. There’s rock pile here that gets pretty shallow so be careful. 

Is there one place better than the other to catch those cats offshore? I'll help to take a couple out of the lake.

So where is the DNR?  I guess they have other things on there mind ????

The catfish in this lake are way out of control. It's worse than when they dumped all the bowfin  in years ago saying they would eat the carp and they ate everything but.

I think I know what's happening to the perch population. Everyone that has fished this lake knows that ​its overrun with catfish. Ive cleaned a half dozen cats this spring and everyone is packed with perch and small crappies. 

Got out Tuesday morning with my son. The rain and warmer weather got the crappies fired up. We got about 20 slabs by 9AM. Very little action after 9AM. We stayed until noon. Only one other person out there. Minnow on a gold hook was key. Tight lines everyone!

Pretty quiet on here!   Those fiesty wally dawgs biting below the dam?? Id guess with the rain and higher flow now there should be a bunch up in there?
