fly fished last Saturday afternoon and caught some bass and pike on anything white pretty much. Had some fun nice to be back on the river with a fly rod. Plenty of carp and sheaps everywhere!

Kaleb99 looks like you got into them. I was up catfishing the yahara this past weekend Saturday and got one on cut sucker. I was kinda embarrassed seeing that I brought a coworker and his son up for the first time because I assumed it was a dog fish at first. All guilt was removed after the first taste. 19" er. They were given the two cats that were caught.
I went to babcock yesterday to check it out and the fish refuge no fishing signs are up, heard most of the river around madison is like that. I'm already having withdrawl from not fishing lol.
Normal season dates, look at the counties section special regs. pretty easy.
Anyone know the rules for fishing the Yahara in March and April? Couldn't find anything on the DNR website
Went out by the Na-TI-GAL docks and casted out for walleye , didn’t get anything on the docks.Moved on to the bridge and casted and got my limit of walleye in about 2 hours. I was using a bright green jig head with a minnow on it and just jigging it of the bottom. Cought many little eyes but ended up with my limit of 19 pluses . Great day to me out on this Saturday afternoon
Be Safe and tightlines.
LOST launched out of lottes Park Today and happened to leave my black fishing bag and a pair of carheart pants. I can’t belive I left it there, was sitting on the end of the dock. Please call me and let me know if you find it. 6082161605.

Fished 5/27 from about 6:30-8pm from the NW shore near Madison Day School. Hit 2 crappie, one of which was a decent size.
Fished 5/28 from 9-11AM in the same spot. Hit another crappie and picked up this Channel Cat. Must have been hungry as he hit a plastic. Measured in at 34.5 in.
