Anyone been able to ice fish the cut this year?
|@ the lake|
Thanks for all the feedback. Last year late season we were driving off barbers with 20" off ice, sounds like all the snow runoff is causing alot off current. Any other good spots on the river to try??
Thanks again, tight lines
Havent been there in about 5 years but perch have been small and not huge numbers either.
Spud bar. Yes! Always a current there! CARPIO
Be careful at Barbers Landing, my buddy and I went there just after we had that cold snap a few weeks ago and just off the Landing straight out was less than 1 inch of ice. Take a spud bar if you do go.
If you go walk “up stream”. There will be an area above lake Cimcoe that will have trees, wood, etc. in the water.thats the only place I’ve done well at.although it’s been around 10 yrs. let me know how you do. CARPIO
Thanks for the report. Sounds like a gamble, although not many places to go right now with snow restricting you to the ice roads.
Thanks again for the feedback
My son who lives in New London called me yesterday and said the perch were biting “pretty good”. Every time I fished there I caught squat! Lol. CARPIO ( Barbers Landing)
Anyone fishing the cuts? Hit it last ice last season did okay. Wondering how the bite is and what the ice thickness is.
My daughter was out there with her group a couple of weeks ago and the ice wasn't very good. Only a couple inches and lots of current under the ice. The also never had a bite or marked a fish.
