Coming to Winnecone this weekend, just wondering if anyone been catching anything near the bridge. I have a boat, and know the River pretty well, just haven't been out on the river, in the fall, and I don't see many reports posted. Thanks
Headed to Wolf River in Winneconne for the long weekend. Anyone having any luck ?? added 9/3......all I can say is.....the dog days of summer were with us...
For he new fishing piers in winneconne. They are having a ribbon cutting October 5th.
you can go to Wolf River Resorts to see a bridge cam from Nelsons bait shop. It looks great. It is lighted with street lights. It will be open very soon. All the work seems to be done. There is a small parking lot on the east side by Nelson's bait shop. I hope the village makes the west side all park and parking lot. Village not sure what to do, many real estate people on the village board want to sell it. They are nuts. A park is forever.
Oldgreg - I was in Winneconne this weekend, and the fishing piers still have the big orange construction barrels on them and blocking them. They look awesome, but they are still closed.
Anybody know how the new fishing pier is coming along? Any pics would be great too. Looking to take my uncle up I heard it's going to be handicap friendly.
How's the fishing been over near wolf river resort?
Can anyone tell me if the no wake restrictions are still in effect. I was up there 3 weeks ago and did great on walleye and white bass. I know there were still pockets white bass spawning, last week all the way up the system. Hopefully this weather trend, over the last 3 years, won't become the norm. Also, does anyone know the link, where I can find the posts, from the sherriff, about no wakes and high waters, so I dont have to keep using this board , that is for reports, to get that info. I'm normally on the wolf, every 2 or 3 weeks. Thanks
Spent Sunday thru Friday at Wolf River House. Weather kept me off water most of the week so fished off wall. Bass were keeping me happy all week with several Northern Pike and a few small walleye. Thursday they poured pier and caught biggest Smallie. Noise didn’t bother her. Photo upside down sorry. Everything came on chartreuse 1/4 Google eye with white paddle tail. Heavy current most of the week. Going back in 4 weeks. Weather should be quiet by then.
Slamming white bass still....fish arent even spawned out from fremont to orihula.
