Oxman, thanks so much. This is exactly what I was looking for.
Thanks for that link, but it doesn't show depth charts below the dam. That's the problem I'm running into. I can't find which way to go to get up near the dam.
Navionics.com and click on chart viewer. They have decent maps for almost anywhere. and should help get to the dam.
Thinking of taking my boat up to the dam. What's the best way to navigate the river up to the dam. I'm looking for depth chart maps online, but not finding anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
5 bucks per launch. 50 bucks per year.
What is the launch fee at the VFW boat landing ? Is there an annual pass you can purchase?
Below 40° F
41° - 45° F
Fished Below the Dam (from shore) on the West side of the river from 10am-12pm. Lost one small eye right at shore but other than that... pretty quiet. I was using crappie minnows.
Saw a few fish boated while fishing from shore but not many. Counted at least 20-30 boats. Holiday crew out in full force!
Stopped at a few other spots on the way home to see if I could find a lucky bite, but no luck. Talked to a few anglers pulling their boats out and they ran into similar conditions as well.
Nowhere near the action we had in the boat last week.
Can someone who fishes the ferry bluff area shoot me a message. Got a question for you regarding safe navigation. I fish down there a lot but last year struggled with navigating the big rock bar just upstream of the big eddy. Curious if anyone found a decent way through. I have a 19 foot Tracker Grizzly with a 90 horse. Drafts well in just a couple inches of water.
