I’ll be in the area next week and will have my kayak with.  Looking to chase some panfish, bass or such for a day.  Any tips on where to put in for some backwater type of experience?   I was thinking the old hwy 10 boat landing?  Being in the kayak I’ll be just using plastics and such.

post, or email, I know messenger is terrible on the site now.  Thx in advance for any guidance.   [email protected]

I certainly didnt take it serious,   nor do I take serious the comment about abundant panfish.  I live on and fished  the flowage for the last 45 years.  I still catch them in the creek mouths and sloughs,  but they  are far from abundant where the kids can have fun.

Lol @ the fact you took the “move your dock” comment seriously... panfish are still abundant. Especially in point and biron flowage. The river changes every year. Shoreline structure sandbars weeds etc... Just because you can’t catch them off your dock doesn’t mean they’ve all been eaten by muskies... and few muskies grow to be big? Huh? They ALL grow to be big if you don’t grab them by the gills and club them...

fishing report: on the biron the last two days... water temp 76.. trolled for a while both days, dodging pontoons and jetskiers... picked up a handful of short walleyes, 2 keepers and some dink smallies. Yesterday a.m. found a pile of crappies over some wood in 14fow, could only catch 2?? Thought maybe there was a ski babysitting them and sure enough 2 casts with the bucktail and I hooked into a nice one that shook off immediately. I had another follow shortly after on the same bucktail and boated a fatty 30+” pike before sunset.. 0 action after dark under the moon.

An option unfortunately we have to do.   They arent really scary after you get ahold of the gills.  Few grow up to be big.  They are bad for the panfish.

Lack of good panfishing is the same for everyone,  dont think it would really help if everyone moved their dock.  I can move my boat easier and it doesnt help.  Catfish are abundant.
