Greetings fellow catfishers!!! I am new to the forum and am a relative newbie to catfishing. I caught a few mid-sized channel cats while carp fishing (yeah, I am serious CPR looking for a good bend, screaming drag, tight line, and battle!!), and was pleasantly surprised by the tremendous fight that the channel cats offered! While this has led me to learn more about catching channels, it has also led to a fascination with trophy flathead fishing. I don't own a boat so am currently most interested in learning if there are any honest bank fishing opportunities for these great sportfish in WIsconsin. Via the many reports on this forum it is clear that there are flathead opportunities in Wisconsin. I live in SE Wisconsin but am noting that the Wisconsin and Fox Rivers hold great potential. I am more than willing to travel to catch flatheads. I realize that specific locations are rightly closely guarded secrets but if anyone wants to share some expert advice as to where a guy might get started I'd greatly appreciate it.
Thanks a ton and GO PACK and Brewers!!!!
