I'll be coming thru town Monday late afternoon, early evening. Just hoping to get a little info on species and spots, anywhere on the Lake or Lower Wolf. I have a boat and will be alone. If my time allows, I'd be willing to take someone out Monday evening, and need to leave by mid day Tueasday. I normally hit the whole area for both spring runs. I have a short family trip this weekend near the Dell's. Then have work in Fon du Lac, on Tuesday evening. If time allows, I would like to learn some summer spots, since I'll be spending more time in the area working, and have my boat with, for any down time. If anyone is interested, please post or PM. I will get back to you asap. I know to stop in Critters, but if I can find someone that doesn't have a boat, and knows the waters, it will help both of us. Thanks

The Spring White Bass run on the Wolf River in Winneconne, WI is an absolute blast! We fished for about 2.5 hours and caught 37 White Bass and 2 keeper walleyes. On this morning there was a 100 boat walleye tournament that staged just south of the Winneconne Bridge. My guess was that there was about $700,000 worth of boats in the river that morning. Anyone still catching any walleyes out there??
Report from last weekend, and I can't imagine much has changed.
We absolutely crushed the whitebass. Ended up fishing about 5 hours over two mornings, keeping 94 white bass & 5 walleyes. The walleye size on Sunday were much better than on Saturday.
We used double fly wolf river rigs. Purple/White, Blue/White, Black/White, & Green/White all produced great results.
It should be a slaughter fest this weekend. Get out there and fill some buckets.
Good Luck out there!
I was out Sunday night with my son from about 8:00 PM - 12:30 AM. We caught 10 walleye and about 20 white bass. We kept 7 walleye.
Anything going on in the river in Winneconne?
Below 40° F
51° - 55° F
Few boats out. Water temperature is 39.7°. Lots of canes floating down!
31° - 35° F
Just drove over bridge and the whole river is iced up. NW wind blew a big sheet of ice down river off the lake.
Does anyone know if the landing is open now and if the ice chunks are still floating down
