Out by Garlic Island haven't seen any fish yet. First time targeting them. Hopefully we're set up in a decent spot. We have a sandy gravel bottom in about 4 FOW. We're going to stick it out until dark.
Has anyone tried the rocks out by highcliff for burbots? Also how about places on the East side planning a valentines date and fishing with the hubby all day????
Is there any spots to go on the east side? Or just west side?
Sorry gang, I haven't been out for pouts yet. Someone stole my shanty and all my gear. Found out 4 weeks ago when I went to the storage unit to pick it up. No correct words to say. Hope to get out Saturday night, we'll see.
Night bite starts right at sundown. But it's pretty wild right before the sun comes up too.
what kind of time frame is the night bite? Pretty late and into the early morning? Or from sundown on? Looking to get out Saturday and wondering if it'd be early enough for my daughter to potentially join me.
Is there any decent spots for burbot on the east side of the lake around pipe or brothertown? Thanks
Just off the north tip of island out from Wendts is a popular night spot. Probably only 1/4 mile walk. I tried it last year but missed the hot bite by a few days. I think this coming weekend + the following week has been the right time the last few years. I got one early ice on west side this year and it was every bit as tasty as everyone says.
Are burbot catchable within walking distance or would i be wasting my time walking? I see that the reefs are roughly 3 miles from shore and that's a little too much for me.
Is there anywhere oshkosh or north to get on some burbot
