Went out from 2:30 to dark.  Jigged off thunder point on a hump in 8’ to 12’. Didn’t mark a thing. Tip ups for eyes and pike in 10’ to 20’. Nothing there either.  Ice was 12-13”.  Snow on lake about 18”

Used to have huge crappie but some local guides showed some people and then it got hammered. The one in first pic was close to 17.

Here is some picks, the mercury levels are higher in this lake so I catch and release. Big large mouth as well.

I just moved to the hayward area. Me and my dad are going to try windigo for the first time. Ive never caught a walleye through the ice and hoping i can make it happen. I was wondering if anybody had any tips on what kind of structure to fish on this lake for walleyes? (I always catch and release walleyes due to the declining numbers)

fished from 3 till 5:30 targeting crappie. when we got out there found a boat on one of our fav spots, so we tried the next spot down the line. ended up with about 12 crappie for dinner. the kids had fun for their first boat adventure for the season. Big Smile

you should have no problem in and out. nice concrete pad, dock, and they just made some nice parking up the hill.

Not a report but a question regarding Windigo. What is the boat ramp situation? I have an 18.5 Crestliner on a roller trailer. Would I be able to get it in and out? I appreciate the info. Bring on the Spring! Thanks. DanM

took the snowmobile over to windigo today. the rack i made worked pretty good. drilled some 30 holes all over the lake. ran the auger dry. couldnt seem to mark a fish anywhere. had some luck last spring, but that was in the boat. spent about 4 hrs out there. only past 3 snowmobiles, trails were nice and smooth. will try again when ice is gone. Wink
