Fished 1-3-2020. Lots of small perch jigging, 1 24 inch northern, and one small mouth. Had something very big on break my line. Fished all day, zero walleye. Had four wheeler out, would not recommend til colder weather comes. 5 inches of good ice, few inches of harder slush as well.

I will be on this lake next week. It is the first time for me here. I have heard some good things about it. Any info on this lake would be greatly appreciated. Not looking for your hotspots but general lake info..

I was there in late June and happened upon a 23ish inch pike floating belly up. First one I've seen in the lake. Held him right side up for quite a while and he eventually swam off. On another note, anyone ever see any tigers here?

Anyone else ever pull a northern out of here? My grandpa lived on the lake for over 70 years and always told me there were no pike in the lake, pulled one out of the ice in '09 that was 30". Just curious to see if that was a fluke or if there are actually a few in there

Was just in Vilas County the last few days on other bodies of water very close to Wildcat and the water temps varied between 46 and 51. I suspect Wildcat may be a few degrees warmer. Best of luck!

Yes I figured it was a tiger. I fish this lake every fall as it is the half way point for family coming over from Minoqua. We always boat a fish or two from this lake. Not much to the size, usually in the mid-30s like the one in the photo. Last fall we had a 3 fish day on this lake.

Wasn't expecting much today with bluebird skies and SSW winds at 5-10 mph. Skunked the day before, but one can never predict the mighty musky. Landed a nice heathy 37", 12.5 lb musky. CPR and off she went. Only action of the day.
