They do not nothing compared to the spring. Better off finding schools in the lake if you want non stop action.
Just wondering if the white bass come up river in the fall?

Late report, but letting folks know...
Fished the mid river (various spots) last Sunday 5/24 and caught White Bass and Walleye in 8-12 FOW on jig-minnow combos and Kalin's grubs. No keepers, but the female White Bass I got were still firm. Thinking they'll be dropping this weekend... if not already with the warmer temps. They should still be around. Water was 66 last weekend.
Was thinking about bringing the wife down for her first whitebass trip. We will be shore fishing. Are the whitebass still there or does it not pay to target them? Thank you!

Fished the past couple days mostly in the morning. I was able catch around 20 white bass. Fished mostly 6 to 8 ft. Caught many mostly drifting. Fished very slowly for the white bass. I also caught a couple small mouth bass.
One last time for white bass and I could have filled a livewell. One goat and no walleyes. It was busy out there with fisherman and pleasure boats. Enjoy your memorial day weekend and remember all who sacrificed for us, military and first responders

Fished from shore in the park in Nekossa today. Fished for 2.5 hrs. Used WRR with fly and minnow and red circle hook with split shot. Caught 1 walleye, 1white bass and 1 sheepshead. Also had something big on that got off after fighting it for a couple of minutes. All fish caught on split shot rig with minnow. May try again next week.
Where are you guys fishing? Are you on boat or shore? Twice now in Nekoosa & still no white bass to account for. Using WRR tipped & not. #somewhatfrustrated.
Fished today, started at 9am and fish were jumping everywhere. Caught mostly males WB on wolf river rig. Got a few cats, walleye, and drum on jig and minnow. Overall fun day with a bit of an overcast but it's def the end of the run.
Thanks for the replies and reports much appreciated. See you on the water.
