White fish lake in Sawyer county. I know a couple guys that ice fish them there and they do.....ok.
I'm guessing small jigs and spoons?
What are you guys using during open water season ?
40° - 45° F
46° - 50° F
Caught this one up by the dam at DePere. Flicker shad
If you go on the DNR website and search whitefish lakes you will find a really good breakdown of lakes that hold whitefish and ciscoe along with there survey histories. For you Lake Michigan guys, how early do they start showing up in the bay could you jig them from the boat right now or does the water have to cook some more yet before the move in. Thank you
Little star and Keyes both have small populations. Lac Court Oreilles (and the aforementioned Trout Lake) has some as well, but your better bets are the bigger waters of Green Bay or Lake Superior.
I do really well jigging the. In Lk Michigan off of Two Rivers. 100'-120', starts in May last til mid July. Get some incidental trout and salmon to.
The obvious answer is green bay/sturgeon bay. Big water but lots of fish. Trout is the only inland lake I know of that has them.
Thanks Batman1...anyone else?
