Fished for about an hour and half this morning. Tried a couple different spots with not much luck. Had quite a few bites at the first hole and caught a little one on a waxworm. Caught another little one at the second hole on a worm and that was it.

Bad day. Not many trout. Seems like baby crawlers and red circle hooks are the go to. Will try again next time.

Fished today from 8:30 to 9:00. Tried a different spot I had never fished before. Caught 4 brookies and 1 sucker. Kept my 3 9" and 2 10". Baby crawlers and red circle hooks. Not to many people out this morning. Very nice morning though.
Do you have to keep your feet wet when fishing the ditches or can you stand along the shore? Don't want to create any issues.

Fished from 9:30-12:00 this morning. Started at the same spot as last time and got a few bites then nothing. Tried a few other spots and nothing. Went back to the first spot and first cast got a bite , set hook and fish on. Got him in and I had foul hooked him near the anal vent, back he went. Caught 3 more then called it quits. May try during the week. Wind was strong and very cold today. Not as many people out as last weekend.
JB Great story... ! ! !
I agree with Big Guy and Carpio , lots of browns in 10 Mile and some other ditches.
Fun story- many years ago my buddy had a bad motorcycle accident and was in a wheel chair for a long time. We were talking about past fishing trips, and he told me how he was going crazy stuck in the wheelchair, wished he could be trout fishing
I got this crazy idea, told him to be ready early the next day for some fishing. I grabbed a 14 ft cane pole my dad left in the garage rafters many a year ago. Tied 14 ft of 6lb test and a trout spinner on it. Got to 10 mile creek and unloaded buds wheelchair, handed him the rod and started pushing him down the shoulder while he dabbled the spinner in the water .
People driving by were honking and yelling funny stuff out the window. They were laughing, and we were laughing our asses off. It was a good day.
Oh yeah, he caught 6 browns an 2 brookie from the wheelchair.
The ditches that run parallel to lake Petenwell on the west side Used to be loaded with browns. Easy fishing tossing Rooster tails. CARPIO
Used to catch suckers years ago but haven't in a long time
I've heard of a few people catching pike that make their way up that way from Wazeecha. Also the occasional sucker. I know that Browns used to be stocked there but I figured they were long gone.
