Great morning to be out on the ice. Even though i don't think the fish were as positive. Managed one quick flag early that rippep out about 35 feeet, missed the hookset...oh well. Pannies didn't seem to want the spikes either. Would think that the fish should be a bit more active with the current warm up. Should have been out by you wopperpopper, nice pike.

Was out on the lake last week and was trying to locate some bass. Ended up catching only 1 northern the whole evening, and had a couple fish get off of a texas rig worm (Im assuming they were bass). I was suspecting many of the fish were down deeper since the water temp felt fairly high. Anyone know how ice fishing is on this lake?

Haven't been on tree personally, but you have plenty of ice based on my observations. In the area we have had fishable ice since before chrismas.

hey crappie dude,

I fished tree quiet a bit a couple years back, did fairly well, only a few double digit slabs, but they are there,a few of em any way. i did best out in the main basin, thirty feet of water, later ice, with a waxie just off the bottom three feet or so, jigging it lightly and take away when a fish showed on the locator. i'd throw out a dead stick with a tiny minnow as well, did best around sunset, never tried the morning bite, but some days the middle of the day worked as well. i had to move around a lot, a typical day consited of starting with a dozen holes ,then drilling 12 more and re-fishing the ones that i picked up a bite, which was very subtle, then drilling some more and fishing all of them till something happened, as in i caught fish or it got too dark to see.

all in all decent lake, but you have to work for the fish, it's not a give-me lake. Good luck
