Went out today with 2 friends from about 2pm to 5pm. We each caught 1 smallie, all around 9 in. And another guy had like a 14 in. smallie. The only color that worked was chartreuse.

Went out from 1-4 yesterday in Mequon. Got 13 smallies and one northern. The smallies were all around 11-12" except one 16". They were hitting a popper, 1/8 spinner and buzz along with a gobi jig. I suggest a trailer hook on a spinner or buzz for the northers. I had five hits but only one hookup. The cloud cover an few rain drops made it comfortable.

Powers, The Milwaukee river is definitely worth hitting fro small-mouth. find the deeper pockets and you'll find some nice fish!Any where that's accessible to launch your yak is good, split shot and a hook with bait of choice and you will fair well, most days are good but there a days they get tight lipped. good luck and poppers and prop baits bode well last hour of light

I was thinking of taking the Kayak out on a section of this river near Grafton. Where would I put in, is it worth it to drift this river for smallmouth, and do I head north or south for the best fishing?

Went out before and after work today, before was slow and got one smallie off of a jig and worm, after I used two poles, one with worm and slip bobber, and another with all sorts of lures, got 2 12 inch smallmouths off the bobber and 3 smallies off of a rage tail crayfish, biggest one was 13. Not amazing fishing, but it's not dead
