After watching the video posted by mystery I decided to try float fishing for steelhead for the first time. In the past I had always just fished spinners and had some ok days but always seemed guys float fishing were doing better than I was. Still have a long way to go and learn on this technique but did manage to get one nice steelhead before the snow moved in. Picked up some floats from fleet farm and some orange beads from the bait shop on the corner of J and 57. Conditions were less than ideal, spent time trying to find some areas with a little slower current. Hope this helps.

Don't really care to much for the salmon run.  Seen a couple caught in the rivers. When will trout start to push up. I know we need Temps to drop and rain. But I prefer to catch bows or browns. As far as access to sheboygan. Are you allowed to fish the parks, West of 43 to fish the golf course area thinking about floating down with the yak to get to some rapids. Does sheboygan have a better spring run or fall run for bows?

I've been getting a few. Browns too but no significant numbers yet. We need lots of rain for any numbers of fish to come in.

westerner,,, Yes it should as long as the water don't get to warm.... But I'd not count on it to much, as before long the smallies will take over. And I don't think you would want to drive that far for them when you got a great supply of them near home.. Did you go this weekend and how did you do???? We did well, all things considering, but Monday late was the best for me. CADDIS
