Couple of fish today. 1-26” pike, 3 LMB, two 15’s and a 13”, 2 perch , 1-7”,1-11”. Live bait and crank bait saved the day. Tried spoons, swimbaits, anything shallow running, nothing.

Fished Saturday and Sunday and did well both days. I've been having the best luck using 2 rods, one dead stick with a bobber and one I actively jig just above the dead stick. Watching the flasher I've noticed the fish are attracted to the still jig, and then come up and hit the moving jig. Very light jigging motions, moving the rod tip only 1/2"-3/4". Fished from 8 FOW out to 28 FOW. I seemed to find the biggest fish in the shallower water, deeper I was the smaller the fish. Also tried a few different baits and waxies outfished everything I tried.

Interesting afternoon fishing today. Marked tons of fish in 10-14 FOW but had trouble getting bites. The usual jigs tungsten glow jigs I use out here weren't working, either was dead sticking. Fish would follow but wouldn't commit. So I switched to a 1/64 ounce jig and jigged very lightly and finally got into some fish. Perch and bluegills, best bite between 4-5 pm.

Decent afternoon, perch bite was fast and furious from roughly 3-4, but slowed significantly after 4. Waxies and glow jigs were the ticket. Lots of smaller fish but some decent ones in between, everything released.

I didn't fish here this year but last year I caught trout. If you're looking for gills, go shallower than where you're fishing. Same thing with the trout.

This lake has been getting hit pretty hard every time I've fished it this year. Everyone I've talked to said they haven't caught trout out here in years, just curious if anyone knows if they still stock it. I've fished it 4 times so far this year and have consistently done well on perch, but can't seem to find any bluegills. 16-20 FOW with waxies are working best but you do sort through quite a few fish to get size.
