Fished most of the day in 3-6 fwt. Consistently had small gills and 5-9" perch jigging. One 21" pike on tip down. Just a few guys out during the morning, afternoon the lake turned into a zoo.

Fished Saturday and Sunday (12th & 13th) without much action. I did catch some nice perch, but not one tip up. Most the people I talked with also say slow and were moving to 3rd lake. Not sure if much better there but did see people on all the lakes last weekend.
21° - 25° F

Use a spud, the ice thickness varies.About 6 guys out on Thursday, walk out from the south end.

Went out Christmas morning and did ok considering the cold front. Caught some decent perch, small bluegills, and one little snake northern. Perch were coming in about 6-8 inches off bottom in about 6 feet of water. Bite was on and off from 7am until 1pm. The vexilar would light up, we would catch some, then they would move on for a bit and then come back the entire time we were there. Definitely worth the trip in my opinion. We only kept 6 perch, but between 2 guys we probably landed over 30. They really were liking colored spikes over wax worms by far, say “hey” to James at Fat Cat if you go. Good luck!
Was out on Round about a week ago. Had limited success. Ended up with 7 nice crappies and 8 average gills. All caught on B-Y Baits plastics on the weed edges in about 7 feet of water. Might head back out there over the weekend.
Anybody having any luck out on Round or Long Lake. Plan to make a trip down soon. Tight lines.
Nothing I would call safe, should be good to go by middle of next week.
