Fished Potter 2 hours today. Water temp 48 marked a pile of what I think is bass in 10 feet of water. No luck fast or slow from 2-11' of depths. They should come up to feed in the next week with the sun and warm up.

Just was curious if there are in carp in Potter? The lake appears to be perfect for them. A friend has a carp boat and wants to come up by my cabin. We are just looking for someplace close to go for a night. Any area info would be greatly appreciated.
It is a flowage, so there is always a potential for thinner areas. The water is quite turbid near the Merlin Lambert park access, and the flow there is enough to tell via a camera that any bottom disturbance flows/drifts away in a short time.
Smaller bluegills and crappie by our group and another group reported smaller "dink"s too.
Anyone have an ice and/or fishing report for potter?
Wondering if anybody has an ice report off of lab lane before I head up to scout on Friday. Thanks in advance
Planning on heading out Sunday off of larb, any ice reports appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Ice was at least 12" everywhere this weekend (1-30-21), quite a chore for hand-auger. Caught a couple 5-6" crappie and a catfish off the bottom in about 18 FOW Saturday afternoon, a snowstorm rolled in overnight and we came back and caught a couple of small crappies again Sunday morning, all caught with wigglers on a tungsten jig. Others in our group caught bluegills, pumpkinseeds, and a perch in 10-12 FOW using worms and waxies on jigs. Nothing on tip-ups with minnows. All our catch were small, between 5 to 7", but great for kids to catch. Some of them were just enough to keep for kids to learn to fillet too.
Me and my brother were out off of Larb a week ago and there was close to 10” couldn’t help you with the main lake. Caught a half dozen gills and crappie with no size to them.
Looking for an ice report. Thanks in advance
