I would like to thank all the carp shooters that in the long run will keep this little lake from being overrun and destroyed by the carp please shoot as long as the carp are available .

On Okauchee yesterday morning every shoreline and island had carp everywhere splashing around. There is a huge carp population on that lake right now. They should try there. Plenty of room for lots of carp guys at night on that lake.

water is that warm . shot up 6 degrees in less than a week.

Fished last night and these damn carp boats are really a pain in the ass. 6 were out last night. Makes catching anything shallow impossible.

Something should change or mandate they get off the water !

Lots of yelling and F*+* bombs easily heard all over the lake. Find somewhere else to do your thing like Big Green,Winnebago,Puckaway. Not 6 boats on a small lake.

First time out fishin anywhere with all the problems that going on. Beauty of a day just mostly worked the shallows.....Rockbass are biting man do they slam the Rapala then as per usual they give up. Either my temp gauge is off but every spot I checked temps 75-78 felt like bath water. Air temps were in the 80’s though

Catching nice size rock bass, gills, and some large mouth in the weeds, conditions  today were perfect.

Well, we took the Flying Bumblebee out for her maiden voyage and wow what a difference,  we hit the southeastern bay for a few casts , then the wind came out of nowhere.  Sure glad I upgraded from a 15 foot boat to an 18 foot boat. Did see quite a few fish on the new locators but no bites. Was just glad to finally be out on the water after selling 15 footer and grabbing an 18 footer .

We sold our house on Highway 60 to Lenny & Cher when they sold their resort/bar in 1990. I fished the lake hard for over 20 years.

I don't remember those spots...but my dad did.  Mentioned the 18 year old bar and taking swim lessons at mccombs.

I've heard plenty of stories about the concerts at Zivkos.  Again...my generation worked there when it turned to a banquet hall...friends were always sneaking booze.  Rumor was that place was haunted...was a Nazi prison.  Rumor was Ernie Von Schledorn spent years there...but that could be pure folklore.

My generation ate huge burgers at Cress's (spelling?)...used to park there when we used the public launch as well.

I remember Shrimps Bar when it was a teen bar, used to stop there on the way to Marty Zivkos.
