Pewaukee Lake

Went out 9am-3pm from Smokey’s and walked and drilled around rocky point and along the east shore of the west basin. Lots of 6” perch to be found in 15-20’. 

Where do the big perch go midwinter? Suspended in the deeper parts of the west basin? Roaming around the edge? 

I can find them late ice but can’t get out enough during the day to track them down now. 

And the ice is chippy now. Still 8-10” but wearing out. 

I didn't go out on the ice, but it looked like the launch at Smokeys was still quite good, not really beat up at all.
Saw plenty of folks on the ice, though it didn't seem like many were venturing out past the east end island very much.
Watched the shacks get pulled off one by one.

We went out today off of the landing by Smokys bait shop.  A dozen kids, slow day; small perch and a 24.5” Muskie; beats sitting at home anyway.
7-8” of ice but seems to be getting really soft.

Saturday afternoon until 8pm, west end, party of 8, 8-14 feet of water.  Two 17.5 and one 12 incher, slow night.  Lot of groups out, few wheelers as well.  Take a kid fishing.

I just put in on the north shore by the condos and still have a good 8 to 9 inches of ice thinking the major issue might be getting on the ice no problem today good luck

Anyone been out today or headed out tomorrow?  I’m hoping to come up there Sunday with our highschool team, I’m wondering how fast the ice is going away with the rain and 40’s.

Hows the west end look. Looking to take my three year old out today.

Long shot here… but if anyone came across a blue rod locker on Saturday 1/20 around 9:30 am at the boat launch near Curly’s and Smokey’s , that would be from this guy. Must have fallen out of the sled on the way out on to the ice.  Please reply here or email me. Thanks

Possibly.  It all depends on the ice.  Where we typically go is out far and quite deep.  I don't think the ice has set up good enough to get out there yet.  Maybe by February it will be okay, but we shall see.

Vegas492 have not seen a fishing report from Sturgeon Bay do you think you will be making a trip up there yet this year?? Still hoping if you do to join you and your wife Been getting a few eyes but not much for the time I have been putting in but it is great just to be ice fishing
