Went out fishing on okauchee sunday, and was throwing a chatterbait on a medium casting rod, and ended up hooking a 33 inch pike in Icehouse bay. wasn't expecting it, but it was a new pb and i was glad to catch it.

Was out first thing this morning . A lot of bass boats loaded up the launch and spilled over to the Golden Mast. Hit the ramp around 5 am and the wind was already an issue . Fished around the Golden Mast area and first fish made the day and could gone home after that, one 29 inch pike, then got a hammer handle, missed two more , one was just off my bow and didnt see it time to set the hook. Hit a couple other spots , no dice . Dont fish this lake often but that might change now that I have a bigger boat to deal with the waves .
Musky bass northern fighting good today. Shallow black bait
Went out this afternoon. Tried a bunch but didn't fish too hard. All in all caught a lot of small gills/crappie/perch (all under 6'') on a jig (1/16) and crawler hunk in 10 ft of water. Caught a few hammer handle pike on #5 mepps around the rock line peninsula to get in Ice House. 2 bass in Stumpy on a ned rig but no size to show. We quit right before the tuesday bass tournament, but at least it was fun to feel some fight at the end of the line even if there wasn't anything picture worthy.
Well DaleL , got the same 98 dollar ticket, we got out of the channel 15 minutes before 8 and they got us , I should of checked the board for the regs and whatnot before we headed out , but you know what , glad I was stopped , we just upgraded to the Ranger I have now and we were all in compliance with everything else, so now I can finally say the Flying Bumblebee is officially christened. 52 fish weren't bad either , big or small we catch and release them all.
Got on plane to get away from 2 boats heading my way that weren’t paying attention a couple Saturday’s ago.
Merton Police got me for $98.80 fine

Went out this morning after not fishing this lake for about 3 years and caught 52 fish, a lot of tiny, small, and micro size blue gill and perch, one bass on a worm. Also didn't read the rules and regs before I went out and got stopped for going too fast before 8 am , but I was not the only one . Ever since I bought my Ranger , it seems to attract Lund boats for some reason. Got stopped by a Lund boat lol. Both guys were great and no other issues . Quite weedy as well this time of year . Had a great time nevertheless.

81 degrees is what I got.
judging by the ZOO i witnessed out there an hour ago.. i'd bet water is pretty warm!
Anyone know what the current water temp is?
