That lagoon is great place for the chin run and brown trout run steel head use to come up too but not much any more. But sorry to say yeah that isnt a secret location someone screwed up n told everbody about it and its a small spot. But when run is on that little puddle will come alive with huge salmon n trout. But sadly with snaggers also. When i was a kid im 38 now we use to ride bikes down there from after school throw pink marshmallows on a hook n leave it sit on bottom hit after hit nice silver fish never did you see zombies caught cause they dont eat the just swim around splashing. The water has went down in the past years too. I think they said 8ft.
Checked it out for the first time.
This place a big secret? Never heard it talked about. Few guys fishing i saw. Anyone have tips or decent spots to try on this stream? Ill be back next week trying again unless it gets blown out. Flow was low but not terrible from what i saw.
Anyone know the history of the sand quarry off of Nicholson and Montana?
I went out today and saw some carp and my son caught what looked like an alewife, no panfish or bass.
The water was really murky from recently heavy rains.
Looks like at one time it might have been a good spot had people not kept every fish they caught....

Called the coast guard when a swimmer turned and swam straight out into the lake and out of sight. The coast guard had already dispatched a boat by the time the dude came back into sight. When the guy made it a shore he was like "im fine, i do this everyday". Wtf.

In the good news department the last couple of rain storms have opened the crick mouth; it is much deeper and wider than two weeks ago when you could practically walk across it and only get you boots wet. Hopefully todays rain will open the crick more and trigger an august run of trout and salmon.
