Fished this lake many times from a canoe. You can put in off of Old hwy O where it passes over No Man's creek. Keep in mind that it is private property on both sides of the road. You can access at the culvert due to the public easement/right of way provided by the road. You can only go 15ft from the roadside while getting in. After that, you need to park the vehicle completely off of the roadway. I know the specifics because I was told them by a Vilas County Sheriff that gave me a warning(s). The locals on the lake call the police when they see a vehicle parked there and I had not followed those rules.
That said cool lake, very good musky fishing, lots of crappies and some northern+ largemouth. Never tried for walleye. It's dark water and tons of vegetation/weeds...along all shorelines. Cool lake to visit. It is a slog getting from the road/creek to the main lake so go small. You'll need to pole through some areas and get out and pull the canoe over a couple of obstructions. Good cardio!
