I hear there are alot of cars park there in the parking lot .some thing must be bitting. Have to get over there to check it out.
Drove up here on a mission trying to find pre spawn walleyes but didn't even wet my line. I don't think there is any place to fish from shore but the mojority of the lake was open except near shore.
3 mud lakes being discussed, one is in Madison between Waubesa and Monona, another one is part of crawfish river that is off of G near Hubbleton, and the third is near Lake Mills and connected to marsh of Rock lake.
Mud lake is maybe 3' deep. It has walleye, pike, bass and some pan fish. It is basically a big mud flat where the Beaver dam and Crawfish rivers combine. Ice fishing is usually best early and late ice.
Both Mud lakes not anything special, never caught a walleye in Dodge county Mud lake.
I'll be giving this place a shot sometime this season. Looking for panfish & walleye
