Judging from water levels in Fort on the Rock I would say that it is at a high fall Level with decent clarity for this system. About a foot of decent clarity down here. The river is not in it's banks down here. But it is not way out of them. I would say you should be able to get around with the trolling motor. Good luck and stick a few big ones.
Anyone been out there this spring yet? Looking at dragging the bowfishing rig up there this week from Madison to get some carp out of there.. curious if the water is low and/or the clarity. Don't wanna make the drive if the water is super low and we can't move around via the TM.
You can download a pdf file of most lakes with your phone. If u go to the dnr web page. Look up mud lake wi. When you look up each individual Lake you will be able to see what kid if any Access is available. Unless there is a park or something more times then not your only way onto lakes like mud would be the boat launch
How do you access mud lake for ice fishing? I drove by the lots I've seen with one being on the river and looks like you have a long walk to the lake through the woods and the other one looks like it's right where the crawfish goes into mud. Would love to try here early ice as I only live ten minutes away. Any info would be appreciated. Is there any maps of the lake?
