That's disappointing to hear FishKabob. You can vote yes starting tonight at 7 on the spring hearing to protect this fishery during March and April. Would only be able to keep 1 over 28" during that period up to the opener.

Fished below the dam again Friday morning from 6 - 10 am in my Tracker and caught 6 on minnows. One slot fish, one 16 inch keeper ( male) and the rest short. Only saw 2 other short fish caught. Went back at 4 pm til 7 pm and only had one bite and saw 2 other shorts caught. I've been here 8 years and never saw it this bad. Pretty sure not many fish didn't come up river and believe it is over fished. Now with all the snow and cold I'm thinking I'm done for a while here.

Fished 6 am til 9:30. Caught a 24 inch Northern early in the rocks on a Rapala. Couldn't get a bite on Twisters so switched to the 4 inch Moxy around the 14 foot range. Caught 5 Walleyes all shorts. Water temp was around 40 when I left. Water levels are getting better and shouldn't have a problem getting bigger boats in now. Very little flow outta the sluice gate.

I was there again on Sunday 4/5 early. Fished from 6- 10 and only caught 4 fish. One on a crank bait and the others on Twisters again. I "snap" jig these when I fish them. Didn't see many other people catching much either. They were able to get bigger boats in. Water was around 40 degrees. I'm going this morning again and will report later.

Any updates? Any cats taken? Last I was out, water was low & not a bite. Then again, this was night time; when the crowds dispersed.

Fished below Moon Dam from my little Bass Hound boat from 6 am to 9. Used Twister Tails only. Caught 5 walleye. One 16 inch and the rest short. About 7 other boats/canoes and saw about a dozen other fish caught. The water is cold due to the ice on the Flowage. With little to no flow coming through, I'm gonna guess that it won't bring many Walleyes up and it shows so far. Nothing compared to last year and I fish this quite often as I only live 20 minutes away.

Do Not try to get a bigger boat in as it is very low. Saw a few try and they barely got back out.

Be Safe and Kind and Good Luck!
