No such thing as “normal.” Changes based on amount of rain and flow of the Wisconsin. Some days it is just the chute flowing, others there is a gate or two open.
Moon Dam, Marathon County

What are the normal flow rates of moon dam in the summer?
Yes. You can fish from shore from the boat landing to the East but is fenced and posted to the west. Please remember to respect boats right of way to the landing when it is opened.

40° - 45° F
46° - 50° F
They didn’t update the report Saturday night/ Sunday. Myself and many others took the boat down Sunday morning to see that it was closed. I did leave them a message that it would be nice if they would update everyone. Not a big deal for me as I am only 20 minutes out but guessing many drove much further. I did fish Saturday morning from the boat and managed two male keepers on plastics.

It’s been rule as long as I can remember thee close the gate at 1000cfs. They update the website hourly. Remember we had rain which increased the flow. It’s gonna be like this all spring. Don’t like it find new water
Well I stopped at the bait shop in Moon, fella told me water is low and people haven't been able to launch. So I got some minnows and headed down - I can get my boat in some skinny water. Well, the gates were open on the dam, the water was up but not so high that the rock bar was covered, and THEY HAVE A GATE ON THE RAMP CLOSED! There is a calm water area to launch, there are boats out there that came up from Bean's, this is just more of the same old messing with people that has always gone on down here - over the weekend, water too low to launch, then open the gates so the water flows (and the walleyes come up), and immediately close the launch. Why don't you just go ahead and close the river.
hey where is the moon dam located?
Is the water high enough to launch a boat yet?
