Have not been up to Montana yet this year.... Any reports on current ice conditions? Landing good?  Can I get my ATV out there or is it too slushy? Thanks

Well I tried again today in anywhere from 15 to 19 fow.  Moved a couple of times.  Nothing happening today.  Just small perch.  Think the biggest one I pulled up was 7 inches.  All still swimming.  Hope others have better luck but I think I will try this one again next year.  Time to find somewhere else for tomorrow.

Looking to try this lake again as last time I caught a lot of fish but not many keeper size.  Last time I was there someone told me hit 25 fow for panfish.  I seemed to only catch small perch.  Are there any decent sized perch or gills or crappies to be caught here?  If so is there a particular depth I should look to find?  Not looking for a magic spot just a decent starting point?  Any suggestions?  Tight lines to you all!

Went out here today for the first time.  Met another fisherman at the launch that gave me a general idea where I might try.  Went out and gave it a try.  Probably pulled up 50 to 60 fish.  All dink perch.  Only 5 fish all day over 6 inches.  Tried multiple different baits and spots in the general area I was directed.  I did set 2 tip ups.  No flags but when i picked them up I had an 8" perch on one of them.  I dont know how but it ate the medium shinner that I had it baited with.  I feel like there is some decent size fish in there but I did not find them today. Oh and the launch was all busted up It held me but it sure looks rough.

Fished lake for the first time ice was pretty good 11-12” a couple of permanent shacks out but only one other person fishing. Was told it was s good lake for panfish. Nothing on tip-ups but caught just under keeper perch all day long. Moved several times same story. Tried crappie minnows waxies and spikes. Just couldn’t find decent sized fish.

This lake is awful in the winter never can find the target fish but I just slay them in the summer.crappies up to 17-18" I can pull limits of 10-12" crappies consistently pike are a little snakes but have caught monsters also biggest being 41" but full of 18-24" large mouth population is not great but they can be had problem with most people they just dont get out of bed and day break fish it those crappies shut right off by 8-9am. You get there before 5am and its excellent until 7.... south end for crappies all around the 9' weed bed for pike
