Mishicot dam, Manitowoc County
|@ the lake|
36° - 40° F
prawnmeat or mike atlas glow shrimp
Thanks for the update fishicot!
Im thinking of giving it a go a few days in the morning this week - there and/or footbridge.
First time chasing Steelies... not sure if mornings are good but I guess I’ll find out :)
Not wadeable but talked to people who had fish. Wax worms, spawn and shrimp are all working.
Just wondering, for those that catch fish with the clipped fin. Do you take the heads in or do you not bother with it ?
Hit the dam this morning with the crowd of people. Managed one hen salmon on a glo ball. Tried floating skien with a couple hits but was to slow on the hookset.
51° - 55° F
Water is higher but still clear. Lots of fish throughout the system right now. Fished several hours swinging streamers. Missed a few hits. Ended the day with two nice male chinook. Lots of fun on the 6 wt!!
Realy dirty,aand unwadable
Gave it a go today, first time there. Looked like there was a good crowd. saw 3 or so landed, lots of people hooking up but ending with the line breaking. Talked to some fellow who was heading out, had a full stringer, he said they were catching 40 pounders in there & I believe him. He had the most massive salmon I have even seen, in picture or person, it had to be in the 40# range if not at least the upper 30#s. tried to tale a picture, but didn't turn out very good or show the scale very well, but it was a massive fish. I snagged a goby lol
More fisherman than fish today but did see a few caught
