Anyone been out looking for Burbott yet? I was looking to come down in a week or two and trying to figure out if its worth the 3 hr trip. I am actually a high school fisherman chasing after a state championship for fishing called Master Angler. If anyone could give me any tips on how to fish for them that would be greatly apprecitated too. I need one over 22" and I believe this is the only place to get them before February. Thanks for any help that you may be able to give!
Be safe out there!!
Anyone having luck with burbot yet?
Nope. its as easy as that. I do very well with large fatheads catching eelpout. About half the price, and then you have a better shot at a few perch and whitefish. Also catch browns here until early spring.
Any tips on the burbots?
Ive never fished for them. I was thinking using a regular bottom rig and a shiner. Does it get more complicated than that?
